I'm peeing my pants...

...I'm sooooo excited. I finally booked the tickets to go to Greece!! Anyone who knows me, knows that I should have been a gypsie and traveled my whole life. We are leaving on Feb 27th and coming back March 10th. What's great is that coming and going we will have time to tour Amsterdam. --My mom and I did that 5 years ago and it was fun.

Actually, it will probably be a tad more comfortable to walk the red light district with Brad instead of my mom....love you mom.

::That will be a sight to see....a 5 month pregnant woman walking the red light district...might rethink that bit::

It's not going to be like my summer trips, but it will be awesome going with Brad. I've already started to plan for July 2010. The baby will be one year (fly for free), and I can get Brad to Santorini like he's wanted. One step at a time....

If only I could get paid to do this stuff....

Christmas

phew! am I glad that it's over. It was a lot of fun, but really crazy. Here's a recap of last week. Luckliy Tuesday, 23rd was my last day at work and I spent Christmas eve making cookies in the morning with Becky (they turned out nasty). That evening we went to Brad's Aunt Cindy's house for Christmas with his extended family. THEN we went to my brother's house for Christmas eve with my family.
We exchanged gifts there and it was really nice.

Christmas day we were having everyone at our house for lunch. Everything went well, we exchanged more gifts and sat at watched a movie once everyones stomachs were full.

NEXT day: drive to Iowa to see Brad's grandmother. It is a loooong drive to Lake City (about 8 hours). It was nice to visit, especially knowing we won't be able to make the family reunion they have in July. The bummer of the trip is when Brad got really sick on Sunday (yesterday). He was puking in the middle of the night. Needless to say the 8 hour trip back wasn't the most exciting either.

With the excitement of the Christmas and our trip I haven't had a chance to let it soak in that I've graduated to 12 weeks now!! Each week to 14w is a bigger and bigger relief.

11w4d

And I have been having m/s?? I can't believe it. I really thought I was in the clear. My mom was so sick with George she needed fluids via IV. Beequee was so sick with Emma she lost more than 30 pounds! So much for me laughing in the face of queasiness.
The only way I can keep something down is to sleep immediately after I eat it. So far I can only stomach SUPER cold milk and cereal and plain, boiled spaghetti noodles (thanks for the tip Beek!)

Thankfully this is occuring while we have a break from work, otherwise I'm not sure how I could do it. I really feel for those ladies who are sick a lot throughout pregnancy. I hope this passes fast.
I better eat breakfast and crawl back into bed...

2nd u/s

I had my second appt on 12/12 ( I was 9w6d). I'm not quite sure why I got another u/s (I guess they doubted the use of the doppler). Either way, I'm not complaning to get a new picture of our little guy. He doesn't look like Cartman anymore (thank goodness, no more ridiculious jokes). He does look like a blob though, I'm guessing because they did the u/s on my tummy instead of the dildo cam and the resolution is not as good. Either way the visit was quick and everything looks great again! Stick baby stick!!

First Ultrasound

We went to our first doctor appointment with Dr. Chen on Monday, Nov 24th. He said everything looks great! We also got to see and hear the hearbeat at 143 bpm. Just a little guy!! When I showed my brother-in-law Jon, he of course said that it looks like Cartman from Southpark. (you have to look at it sideways, with the yolk sack as the head). What's sad, is that it's true.
At least I'm not craving cheesy poofs.

I am now a blogger!

I'm 11 week 3 days pregnant and have decided to blog my progress. I have a journal I write in, but it mostly gives weekly information and doesn't allow me the space to express myself all the time.
We are still cautiously excited! I keep waiting for this to feel "real". --In due time I suppose :)
